CIRCLE Case Study Interview

Aoba-Japan International School
Mr. Chasen Stahl
Challenges Before Implementation
The group had 12 campuses in total, each using a different PBX system. However, the systems at each campus were not compatible with one another and did not function as a single network, resulting in inefficient communication.
When students or parents called the school, they had to contact each of the 12 different campuses individually rather than calling a central main number.
Improvements After Implementation
By implementing CIRCLE, the school was able to consolidate the different PBX systems and build a single unified network.
When students or parents call the school, they can now be connected smoothly to the appropriate person through an IVR system.
Management became easier, and the school was able to provide a more organized service for its customers, meaning students and parents.

An International School Developing Globally Minded Individuals

Please tell us about your school.
Aoba-Japan International School has three campuses in Tokyo, with more than 750 students enrolled. Across the entire group, there are 12 campuses with a total of 1,700 students.
Because of this, we have a fairly large and distributed communication network. Our school operates every day through a combination of cloud-based and on-premise networks that work together.
Improving the Communication Network During Organizational Growth

What led you to introduce cloud services?
I joined the school in 2015, which was around the time when the school was carrying out a major review of its overall systems. Since then, the school has grown to 12 campuses with more than 1,700 students. However, our communication network also needed to improve so that we could provide educational services to all students in line with that growth.
It was the right timing to review our systems as the organization continued to expand.
Providing a More Convenient Service for Customers

Why did you choose to implement CIRCLE?
Before introducing CIRCLE, each of our campuses had its own on-premise network using a different PBX telephone communication system. These systems were not compatible with one another, and they did not operate as a single unified system.
As a result, when our customers, meaning students and parents, wanted to call the school, they had to call each of the 12 different campuses individually instead of using a central school number.
From a management perspective, it made a lot of sense to introduce a unified service. By implementing CIRCLE, we were able to achieve that and provide a more organized service to our customers.
Now, when students or parents call the school, they can be connected smoothly to the person they want to speak with through an IVR system.
CIRCLE provides practical telephone services like this that are tailored to the needs of users.
Message from Aoba-Japan International School
Aoba-Japan International School is one of the leading international schools not only in Tokyo and Japan, but also across the Asia-Pacific region.
One reason our school has continued to grow and receive positive feedback from parents and students is that we provide an internationally recognized university-preparatory curriculum. However, the most important reason is that we offer flexible learning that respects each student as an individual.
Regardless of their abilities, interests, or passions, we flexibly support our students in what they are trying to achieve.
